Ethylene is
released by ripening fruits, vegetables and flowers, and causes the
fruits, vegetables and flowers to ripen faster. ChemSee-Foods' Spoil
Guard is a simple device which absorbs
the ethylene produced by ripening fruits, vegetables and flowers and
thus increases their shelf life.
ChemSee-Foods sells two sizes of the Spoil GuardTM:
- SPGD-01 - Suitable for use in a refrigerator (lasts three
months). The SPGD-01 is 1x3" and weighs 15 grams.
- SPGD-05 - Suitable for use in large containers and boxes of
fruits, vegetables and flowers. The use period of the SPGD-05 is
dependent on the fruit or vegetable, the temperature and the location
of the device within the container. The SPGD-05 is 2.5x5" and weighs
25 grams.

Spoil Guard for Home Use
ChemSee Foods’ Spoil GuardTM protects your food from
pre-mature spoilage by capturing the ethylene released by ripening fruits and
vegetables, keeping them fresh 10 to 26 days longer.
The easy-to-use Spoil GuardTM pouch attaches in seconds to
the wall of your refrigerator, protecting your fruits and vegetables.
Place one to three SPGD-01 inside the refrigerator where they will not
get
wet. Please make sure that children or animals will not play with or
chew on the Spoil GuardTM.
The Spoil GuardTM protects your food for three months,
and can be safely disposed of with the household garbage.

Spoil Guard for Suppliers and Distributors
The Spoil GuardTM pouch is simple to use. For the
SPGD-05, take the device out of the bag it comes in and place it inside
the fruit or vegetable container. NOTE: packaging
a single Spoil Guard with fruits / vegetables in smaller containers is
more effective than placing multiple pouches inside a large container
of fruits / vegetables. Specific instructions can be provided if you
have unique needs or requirements based on your production methods. To
estimate the number of Spoil GuardTM
needed, you may use one SPGD-05 per fruit or vegetable container (100
pounds).
